Overgate today announces the launch of a Bedroom Appeal in partnership with Help for Kids Charity for the benefit of children in Dundee.

The aim of the appeal is to ensure every kid in Dundee has a bed, with a fundraising initiative in the centre beginning on the 1st of August and running for the month.

Shoppers in Overgate are being invited to visit the Bedroom Appeal set which is located on the upper level balcony opposite TUI. Four bedrooms are in place – one for a boy, one for a girl, one for a teenager and one for a baby – which Overgate has supplied the furniture for and which will be donated to the appeal at the end of the month. Primark has supplied all the soft furnishings and their visual team have dressed the area. Information literature on the fantastic work undertaken by the charity will be available within the set.

The public are being invited to make donations to the appeal at the Customer Service Desk which has been dressed.to look like a bedroom, complete with Overgate’s Barry McRuvie in his PJs.

Speaking about the campaign Morag Dennis, Operations Manager of Overgate said;

“Overgate is delighted to launch the Bedroom Appeal. The work undertaken by Help for Kids contributes greatly to the local community and we hope the public will consider supporting this new initiative in any way they can.”
