Will You Be My Valentine?

Love is in the air- no more so than at the Overgate! With plenty of Valentine ranges on offer and many delicious Valentine treats available to indulge in, we are truly getting swept up in the moment.

Throughout the shopping centre we have many Valentine themed displays which will fill you with that warm puppy love feeling…

To make your gifts for that special someone more personal, head down to Paperchase. This display showcases some of the unique, funny and heart-warming Valentine range they have on offer. From photo frames to candles to humorous cards- Paperchase will have the perfect gift to make your Valentine’s Day extra special.

Lush is also feeling the love with this Valentine display placed front and centre of their store. Whether you are after a beautifully wrapped gift filled with handmade goodies; or treating yourself to a pampering before your Valentine date, Lush will have just the thing!

With 15% off all designer lingerie, Debenhams makes the perfect place to stop for gifts for her. This display shows the beautiful lingerie on offer to make your Valentine’s Day that extra special.

Yankee Candle

One of our favourite displays at the moment is the amazing Yankee Candle window display. This eye catching display offers the many different Valentine themed scented candles. Create a romantic atmosphere with candlelight and fill the room with scents such as fresh cut roses and pink hibiscus for the perfect Valentine evening.

It’s not only Overgate who are feeling the love – Valentine’s Day displays are huge all over the world and one of the biggest events in the retailer’s calendar with many creating lavish and memorable displays. Here are some of our favourites;

Debenhams, London

Debenhams created a series of displays featuring puns and funny interactions between mannequins. The “Oh My Shoe Lace” is one of the many displays which Debenhams had on at the time and created a lot of laughs.

Harrods, London

In connection with the release of The Great Gatsby in 2013, Harrods created this romantic window display which was highly detailed, and in the usual Harrods fashion, created a stir with many shoppers visiting to see the display as well as the store.

Interactive Valentine displays are also becoming a trend creating photo opportunities or physically involving the public. Why not visit New York and write a love note for your sweetheart and stick it on a giant cork board for all to see?  These displays are fun, eye catching and most of all different.

Don’t worry if you are single this Valentine’s Day and sick of the sight of gifts, cards and roses. 14th of February is also Singles Awareness Day, also abbreviated to SAD- but let’s not focus too much on that part…

Overgate has your back! Visit our Krispy Kreme stand and treat yourself to a Love Bug or Honey Bee doughnut. Because if you can’t treat yourself at Valentine’s Day then when can you?

Happy Valentine’s Day Everyone!
